About the soloist:

 

Pianist Ronald Wharton performs for the sixth time with the Albert Einstein Symphony Orchestra since 1994. Dr. Wharton studied with Malcolm Bilson while an undergraduate at Cornell University, He subsequently attended medical school at Columbia University, which he humorously says "did little towards improving my piano technique". Currently, he studies with pianist & composer Ronn Yedidia. When not at the keyboard, Dr. Wharton can be found at Montefiore Medical Center, where he is part of the full-time faculty in the Division of Cardiology.
